We are looking to add a Medical Assistant to work alongside our Providers in order to provide a full range of dermatological care.
The Medical Assistant works closely with the Providers in all aspects of the medical practice. The Medical Assistant's duties include rooming patients, educating patients, assisting the Provider in excisions, acne treatments, Mohs surgery, handling biopsy specimens, prescription refills, stocking exam rooms, and other medical office duties. Medical Assistants are also accountable for administrative tasks and can proficiently utilize EMR software to scribe documentation and enter billing information into patient records. Applicants must have solid critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, be able to multitask, be reliable, organized, motivated, and driven. We also require an employee that is very customer service oriented and works well under pressure. Dermatology experience is required. Please do not apply if you do not have Dermatology experience.
Ideal Candidates will have at least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a dermatology office. Additionally, ideal candidates will have the following experience or qualifications:
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records - specifically Modernizing Medicine – EMA
- Experience with biopsy techniques, patient intake protocols, assisting with surgical and cosmetic procedures
- Experience with completing notes for patient exams for doctor's review
- Experience with interpreting a doctor's finalized notes and writing a grammatically and medically accurate letter to update other physicians on the patient's progress
- Familiarity with dermatology skincare products, such as those in our skincare product line
- Be an effective team leader, taking personal responsibility for ensuring our patients receive consistent, best-in-class care from all team members
- Enjoy working closely with supervising physicians
- Feel confident in working both collaboratively and independently
- Demonstrate a positive approach when embracing the challenges and opportunities of a fast-paced clinical environment
- Demonstrate remarkable written and oral communication skills
- Ability to provide exceptional quality of care to all our patients, providing them with a high-end hospitality experience
- Motivated, hardworking, organized, & pays attention to detail
- Discuss procedures available to target specific issues along with costs
- Ability to use and navigate an EMR system - preferably ModMed - EMA
- Excellent communication skills and sales experience
- Presentable, professional, and kind to patients
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills

- Empathetic with patients' needs and concerns
- Ability to work well with physicians, anticipating their needs in regard to patient treatment
- Clinical Dermatology: 1 year (Preferred)
- EMA (ModMed): 1 year (Preferred)
